Documents
Inspection agreements, Standards of Practice, Google Drive reports, and release templates.
The Documents page manages the reference materials that the AI uses to evaluate claims. Upload your inspection agreements and Standards of Practice, connect your inspection reports via Google Drive, and manage your settlement release template — all from Settings > Documents.
Inspection agreements
Upload one or more PDF agreements — typically one per service line you offer (home inspection, sewer scope, mold, fire hardening, commercial). The AI reads these to check whether a complaint falls within or outside the scope of what the homeowner agreed to.
- Each agreement is parsed and indexed for retrieval.
- You can upload additional agreements or remove existing ones at any time.
- The more specific your agreements are, the more precise the AI’s scope analysis will be.
Tagging a document with a service
Each agreement and Standards of Practice row has an Applies to dropdown. Tag your sewer scope agreement as Sewer Scope and the AI cites it for sewer issues instead of your home inspection agreement. Leave a document on All services when it genuinely covers everything you do.
- On upload, the tag is guessed from the filename (“Sewer Scope Agreement.pdf” becomes Sewer Scope). A generic name stays on All services. Correct it here if the guess is wrong.
- The dropdown lists the services you have switched on under Settings > Services.
- When a claim concerns a service with no tagged document, the AI falls back to searching all of your agreements, so nothing breaks before you have finished tagging.
Standards of Practice
The Standards of Practice (SoP) defines what is and isn’t within the scope of a home inspection in your jurisdiction. The AI references the SoP to determine whether the inspector was required to report on the item in question.
Preset options
- InterNACHI 2021 SoP
- TREC SoP (Texas)
- ASHI Standard
- CAHPI (Canada)
If none of these match your jurisdiction, upload your own custom SoP document as a PDF.
Inspection reports
Inspection reports are synced automatically from your connected Google Drive folder. When a claim comes in, the system matches it to the reports for that property by normalized address and inspection date — all of them, not just one. A visit that produced a home inspection and a sewer scope links both to the claim, and the AI judges each issue against the report whose service covers it.
- Each report is labeled with a service (Home Inspection, Sewer Scope, Radon Test, …) from its filename. See Services for how that works and how to add your own filename keywords.
- The Drive connection and folder selection are managed in Settings > Integrations.
- The Documents page shows a summary of your report catalog — how many reports are indexed and the date range they cover.
Release template
Your settlement release PDF is also managed here. This is the document homeowners sign when accepting a settlement offer. For full details on uploading, formatting rules, the attorney attestation gate, and the cover page, see Settlement Releases.
Setting up during onboarding
The onboarding checklist walks you through uploading inspection agreements (Step 3) and selecting a Standards of Practice (Step 4). You can always come back to Settings > Documents to add, replace, or remove documents later.
